3D Penguin by Melissa
Today I posted a quick 2 part tutorial on Instagram on how I did this 3D penguin
Isn't he just the cutest!?!
Anyway, so I wanted to give more detail on what I used and why!
Background color: Akzentz Luxio Daring with 1 coat of Luxio Blue Effect on top. You will hear this a lot from us... but Luxio is the BEST gel polish!!! It is so pigmented and most can be applied in 1-2 coats which is amazing!!!
Acrylic: Young Nails Speed White and Young Nails 3D art brush. Be sure to start with it quite dry because once the acrylic hits the gel polish it spreads fast.
Gel Paints: Young Nails Mission Control black, white, red, orange, and green. I'm using the Young Nails Micro Detailer brush in this video. LOVE this brush, it's so tiny with strong bristles!
Top Coat: Young Nails Mani-Q top coat because since it's a thinner top coat it will keep the 3D effect
I don't usually do my 3D too raised out of personal preference but feel free to make yours as raised as you and your client want!
